
Blood drive
Hill’s Tavern at 417 Putnam Pike will host a blood drive on Tuesday, Dec. 23 from 3 to 6 p.m. with the bloodmobile parked outside the bar. To sign up to donate visit ribc.org/drives using sponsor code 3990.

Holiday schedules
School vacation began this week for students in both the Glocester School District and the Foster-Glocester Regional School District, with all set to return on Monday, Jan. 5.
Town Hall will be close at noon on Wed., Dec. 24 in celebration of the Christmas holiday and will reopen on Friday, Dec. 26 with hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Candlelight & other Christmas services
Glad Tidings Community Church at 111 Victory Highway will host a candlelight service on Wednesday, Dec. 24 starting at 5 p.m. The church will also hold Christmas services on Sunday, Dec. 21 at 8, 9 and 11 a.m.
Chepachet Union Church at 1138 Putnam Pike will hold a candlelight Christmas Eve service of lessons and carols on Wednesday, Dec. 24 starting at 6 p.m.
Entertainment
Cady’s Tavern at 2168 Putnam Pike will host an open mic on Friday, Dec. 26 from 7 to 11:30 p.m. On Sunday, Dec. 28, the tavern will host its weekly blues jam starting at 3 p.m.
At Hill’s Tavern at 417 Putnam Pike, Traveling Light will play on Saturday, Dec. 28 from 8:30 to 11 p.m.

Magic show
Glocester Manton Free Public Library at 1137 Putnam Pike will host The Great Baldini Magic Show on Tuesday, Dec, 30 starting at 5 p.m., an all ages family-friendly event. Registration for the event is required here.
Town meetings
The Glocester Land Trust is scheduled to hold a meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 23 starting at 7 p.m. at Town Hall at 1145 Putnam Pike according to the calendar on the town website.
