BURRILLVILLE – The Bus Stop Kids want to remind students returning back to school after the holiday break that bus stop safety is very important and takes the risk out of being injured if kids follow basic safety rules.

A very important message that helps keep children safer is to always wait for your school bus monitor to help you safely cross the street and enter your school bus. Kids should never run across any roadways and always look both ways before crossing to make sure that vehicles are not approaching your vicinity. Do not push, or shove, or horseplay while standing at a bus stop and stand in a line according to your arrival time. Never play on the street and stay at your bus stop until your bus arrives and your school bus monitor says it’s okay to walk across the street to your bus.

Have a safe and happy New Year kids and families everywhere!
