BURRILLVILLE – Emergency personnel discovered a deceased body in the bedroom of a home on Wells Road following a fire early Friday morning.
Firefighters dispatched to the home around 4 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 9 reportedly found the home fully engulfed in flames.
After members of the East Burrillville Fire Department extinguished the blaze at 13 Wells Road, the body was found in the master bedroom, according to police.
According to town property records, the Mapleville property held a mobile home, built in 1976.
The incident remains under investigation and police say the Rhode Island State Fire Marshal’s and Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office have been contacted to assist in the effort.
