The North Smithfield Emergency Management Agency will offer hands-only CPR/AED and Stop the Bleed training on Saturday, March 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Scouter’s Hall. The free, three hour, semi-annual life-saving program is open to the first 50 North Smithfield residents to register, and will be taught in accordance with the American Heart Association. Certificates will be awarded upon completion of the program.
Incidents such as cardiac arrest choking and serious bleeding do take place and most by-standers want to help until professional care arrives. The program aims to change by-standers into by-doers and to help others save lives.
For reservations or event questions call or text Richard Savaria at (401) 527-8959.
