Warming center
With frigid temperatures set to continue early this week, the town of Burrillville is reminding residents that Jesse Smith Library at 100 Tinkham Lane is a warming center, with hours Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Burrillville residents seeking warmth outside thew library hours should call (401) 568-6255.
Basketball game
The Burrillville Prevention Action Coalition and the Burrillville School District are inviting guests to attend the Burrillville High School Broncos girls basketball game at the school at 425 East Ave. for free on Monday, Feb. 9 if they sign a substance-free pledge.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and has been organized in honor of the town’s MADD victim, Tori Lynn Andreozzi, who loved basketball.
Bingo
St. Joseph’s Church at 183 Sayles Ave. will host bingo in the church hall on Friday, Feb, 13 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Admission costs $15 for 12 games with additional cards available for purchase and cash prizes will be awarded. Players must be at least 18 years old, and food items and beverages will be available for purchase.
Village Valentine
The Burrillville Redevelopment Agency invites everyone to visit Pascoag on Saturday, Feb. 14 for a ‘Village Valentine’ event that includes discounts, deals, live entertainment and specials at area businesses all day long. Singles and couples are welcome to see the village lit up at night for the occasion, take a photo under a new heart-shaped light installation at Fountain Square Park, and have a meet and greet with village business owners.

Galentine’s Tea
Mapleville Farm at 522 Victory Highway will host a Galentine’s Tea Party on Sunday, Feb. 15. Besties and singles are invited to don outrageously pink getups and attend a tea and luncheon, followed by desserts. Tickets cost $55 and can be purchased here.
