BOSTON, Mass. – When the Skating Club of Boston hosts its annual benefit ice show later this month, a Glocester-based teen will be one of the athletes showcased, sharing the ice with Olympic gold medalist and World Champion Alysa Liu.

Scarlet Wiley will be among the cast of local, national and international competitors at Ice Chips 2026: A World Journey, to be held on Saturday, Feb. 28 and Sunday, March 1.

The appearance follows news last month that the talented 13-year-old and her figure skating partner, Cristian McKnight-Ide were selected to attend U.S. Figure Skating’s National Development Camp. Selection for the camp required excelling in the National Qualifying Series and ranking among the top teams in Pairs Finals.

A skater who attends high school at Mount Saint Charles Academy in Woonsocket, now in her sixth season with Warwick-based Ocean State Ice Theater, Wiley has been skating with McKnight-Ide for the past three years. The pair spent two days training with elite coaches at the camp in January, and even get a front-row experience at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, where the Olympic Team was selected.

This month, Wiley will be at the Tenley E. Albright Performance Center at The Skating Club of Boston in Norwood, Mass. for two shows on Saturday the 28th at 1 and 7 p.m., and one show on Sunday, March 1 at 1 p.m.

Show headliner Liu is a favorite to win individual gold at the 2026 Winter Games. The U.S. team won gold at the Olympic games on Saturday, Feb. 8, and the Ice Chips show will mark Liu’s first appearance in the United States after the games conclude.

Other performers include the 31-time U.S. Synchronized Skating Champions Haydenettes and 2026 U.S. junior pairs silver medalists Sofia Jarmoc and Luke Witkowski.

“To bring Alysa Liu to the Boston area right after the 2026 Winter Games is a thrill for our local skating fans,” said Doug Zeghibe, CEO and executive director of The Skating Club of Boston. “This annual benefit is a great opportunity for skating enthusiasts of every age to see Alysa and other world-class skaters perform up close and personal in the intimacy and comfort of the Tenley E. Albright Performance Center.”
