Northern, RI – On Monday, it’s all about Trick or Treating with the kids, but this weekend the adults also get a chance to play at Halloween parties and costume contests across northern Rhode Island. Whether pulling out an old witch’s hat or donning something creative and original, there’s plenty of places for locals to get their ghoul on.
This weekend also marks the end of many outdoor activities as we transition into colder months at venues such at Johnny’s Victory Diner, which will have its last weekend of BBQ and outdoor music on the deck, and Goodwin Brothers, where they’ll hold their last day of regular hours on Monday, Oct. 31.
Highlights in our northern Rhode Island roundup this week include the Downtown Pascoag & Neighborhood Association Pumpkinfest on Saturday, where they’ll have more than 20 vendors, seven food trucks, a DJ and demonstrations by local businesses. In North Smithfield, the Artisan Fair on the grounds of the Beef Barn Restaurant will offer 40 vendors showcasing various items for holiday shopping. And of course, Glocester has its annual Trick or Treat Main Street on Saturday, offering kids a chance to follow a treasure map through Chepachet.
An honorary mention goes out to The First House on Second Road, a haunted yard and garage walk in Glocester, with hours through Halloween night. Check them out and learn more details on their Facebook page.
However you spend your time, have fun and stay safe, northern Rhode Island, and try to make some time to check out these great local events and venues.
